Aquavernis is an all-purpose water-based polyurethane varnish for interior and exterior wood surfaces and furniture. Aquavernis is hard and durable. It offers great resistance to abrasion, water, grease, spots and dirt. It is applicable on furniture, doors, windows and wooden frames, staircases and banisters, floorings, pergolas, pillars etc. It offers a good resistance to abrasion, oil, grease, solvents and mild chemicals. It is highly washable, resistant to detergents and easy to maintain. Easy and comfortable to use, Aquavernis provides a beautiful satin finish and enhances the natural beauty of wood whilst ensuring a lasting protective coating. Available in clear finish for interior use and in tinted finish for interior and exterior use.

The wood must be bare, sound, clean and dry. New: sand with sanding paper (240 or 320 grain) then dust. Bare, oily (teak etc.): degrease with Acryline Pre Cleaner and allow to dry before applying Aquavernis. Previously painted or varnished: strip previous coating with Nitromors Paint Remover. Rinse with water or wipe with Karnamel Thinner. Allow to dry 24 hours; sand and dust. Waxed: strip the wax with adequate product; sand and dust. Parquet Floor. New: sand with sanding paper (120 grain) then dust. Bare oily wood (teak, etc.): degrease with Acryline Pre Cleaner and allow to dry before applying Aquavernis. Previously varnished: sand with sanding paper (60 grain) then sand with sanding paper (120 grain) to remove old coating then dust carefully. Waxed: strip the wax with adequate product; sand and dust in the same way as for previously varnished parquet.

Thinner: water. Dilution for brush application: 10%; Dilution for spray application: 5-10%. Nozzle size: 1.8-2.0 mm diameter. Covering capacity: 10 m2/litre. Dilute with 10 % water to apply the first coat to ensure better penetration. Apply 2-3 coats using a brush or roller. For a perfect finish, sand with sanding paper (320 grain) systematically between every coat. Touch-dry: 1h. Delay before applying any new coat: 24h.
